Chris
Marion was born on Elvis’ 27th birthday. From that point on, any
similarities between the two careers stopped. He did, however, travel
with his parents and an evangelist singing hymns a capella.
After studying music in college, Chris moved to Nashville and began his
career playing piano and writing inspirational songs for children. His
music garnered nominations for 4 Dove awards from the Gospel Music Assoc.
He has toured and recorded with artists like Steven Curtis Chapman, Brent
Lamb, and Keith Longbotham. In 1992, he joined with partner Danny Myrick
to form Western Flyer. The band recorded 2 CDs and was renowned in the
industry for its vocal power. After the band broke up in ’96, Chris
joined a production team that has worked with a wide array of artists
– Garth Brooks, The Oak Ridge Boys, Doug Stone, and Charlie Chase.
